Our job is to protect Marin residents from fires and natural disasters. We do this by:
- Helping residents prepare for disasters;
- Helping the County prevent fires;
- Responding quickly in emergencies;
- Helping residents return home safely.

Our divisions
- Administration We manage administrative and operations work for the Fire Department.
- Emergency Command Center We respond in emergencies by dispatching first responders to the incident.
- Emergency Medical Services We provide emergency medical services for Marin residents.
- Community Risk Reduction Our job is to minimize and prevent damage from fires.
- Office of Emergency Management Our mission is to help Marin prepare for, mitigate, respond to, and recover from disasters.
- Operations Our job is to manage emergency operations and respond to fires.
- Training We make sure our firefighters are highly trained to respond to all types of hazards.
- Vegetation Management We use vegetation management to help reduce the risk of wildfires.
