Notice of Termination of Supervisorial District 5 Recount

The Marin County Elections Department is notifying the public that the recount of Supervisorial District 5 is terminated. The recount requestor, Mr. Andy Podshadley, did not provide the statutorily required daily deposit to continue the recount. As a result, Mr. Podshadley’s recount has been terminated pursuant to California Code of Regulations, title 2, section 20355.

Accordingly, the recount in connection with Mr. Podshadley’s request will not proceed. The certified June 2, 2026 Statewide Direct Primary election results remain unchanged.

This notice is posted pursuant to California Code of Regulations, title 2, sections 20359 and 20362.

Notice of Termination of Statewide Recount

The Marin County Elections Department has been notified by the California Secretary of State's Office that the recount requestor, Mr. Rab, did not provide the statutorily required advance deposit for the first day of recount costs. As a result, Mr. Rab's statewide recount request for the office of Governor has been terminated pursuant to California Code of Regulations, title 2, section 20355.

Accordingly, the recount in connection with this request will not proceed.

This notice is posted pursuant to California Code of Regulations, title 2, sections 20359 and 20362.

Election Certified

The June 2, 2026 Statewide Direct Primary Election has been certified.

What we do

The Elections Department provides year-round election services to Marin County.  It plans for and manages scheduled elections and special elections called by cities, towns, schools, and special districts in the county.
