Rebates are available when you replace your gas or propane appliances with:
- Induction cooktops and ranges
- Heat pump water heaters
- Heat pumps for space heating (ducted or ductless)
Along with your appliances, you may also be eligible for an additional rebate if your project requires an upgrade for your home's main electric service panel.
How much money will I get?
That depends on:
- The type of appliance you install
-
Your household income
Appliance type | Standard Rebate | Income-qualified rebate |
---|---|---|
Induction cooktop or range | $250 | $250 |
Heat pump water heater | $500 | $2,000 |
Heat pump space heater | $500 | $2,000 |
Service panel upgrade | $250 | $1,000 |
To get the income-qualified rebate, your household income must be less than the "very low" income limits for Marin County. The federal government sets these amounts based on your household size.
Number of people in household | "Very low" annual income limit |
---|---|
1 | $62,500 or below |
2 | $74,600 or below |
3 | $83,900 or below |
4 | $93,200 or below |
5 | $100,700 or below |
6 | $108,150 or below |
7 | $115,600 or below |
8 | $123,050 or below |
