Projects that have completed the CEQA process in Marin County

The projects listed below have completed the environmental review process in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Click on the links below for more information about each project. For recently approved projects, you may find Notices of Determination (NODs) on the Marin County Clerk website.

We archive projects on our website for at least five years after they complete the CEQA process. If you want to find older CEQA projects that are not listed below, please search the California Office of Planning and Research website or contact the Environmental Planning team.

What are the different types of CEQA reviews?

Negative Declarations and Mitigated Negative Declarations

  • Negative Declarations are prepared for projects that will not have a potentially significant effect on the environment.
  • Mitigated Negative Declarations (MNDs) are prepared for projects that would have one or more potentially significant effects on the environment, but the effects are reduced to less than significant with mitigation.

Environmental Impact Reports

  • Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs) are more comprehensive reviews that are prepared for larger projects, or when it is determined that a project will likely have a significant, unavoidable impact on the environment.
