Oak Hill Apartments Project

Oak Hill Apartments will provide 230 new affordable rental homes.
  • Artistic rendering of large apartment complex near the bay front.
Oak Hill Apartments will provide 230 new affordable rental housing units. A portion of units will be dedicated as workforce housing for Marin County Office of Education and County of Marin staff.

Marin County and the State of California recognize the lack of affordable housing, especially for local workforce. This is why we are collaborating on solutions. In Marin, almost two-thirds of workers commute from outside of the County. This contributes to more traffic in the community and the region.

This project is being developed on surplus land owned by the State of California. The property is located in the San Quentin area of unincorporated Larkspur. The County of Marin and Marin County Office of Education are partners in this project, and some of the units will be designated as employee housing.

The proposed housing project is a partnership between Eden Housing and Educational Housing Partners. About 250 new affordable units are planned in 2 residential communities:

  • Educators and County staff who meet income requirements (135 units)
  • Extremely low- and low-income households (115 units)

In 2023, a household of four earning $148,650 or meets the low-income threshold.

Estimated Project Completion

This project is anticipated to be complete in 2027.
